Privacy policy
What this site collects, why, and how to get it deleted. Short, because it collects very little.

Who is responsible for your data
actual SEO is run by Eliot Crossley, based in Lichfield, United Kingdom. I am the data controller for anything you send through this site.
You can reach me at contact@actual-seo.com or on 07932 995094.
What this site collects
The audit request form on the contact page collects your name, email address, website address, the search terms you want to rank for, and whatever you write in the last field. Nothing else is collected and there are no hidden fields beyond a spam trap that is never read by a person.
If you email or call instead, I hold whatever you choose to send me in my inbox or call log.
This site sets no advertising cookies and sells nothing to ad networks. It uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits, which sets a cookie holding a randomly generated identifier so a returning visit is not counted twice. GA4 records the pages you viewed, roughly where in the world you were, and which site or search sent you. IP addresses are truncated before they are stored, so it is not used to identify you personally, and you can block it with any tracker blocker or browser setting without losing anything on the site.
Why I hold it, and for how long
Your details are used to audit the site you sent and to reply to you. That is a legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry you started.
Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted within 12 months. Where we do work together, project records are kept for six years to meet UK accounting requirements.
Who else sees it
Two companies touch your data. Hostinger hosts this site and runs the mailbox the form sends through. Google provides the analytics described above, which never sees the contents of the form. Beyond those, submissions land in my own inbox and go nowhere else.
Your details are never used to build a marketing list, and are never sold, rented or shared for advertising. If a processor is ever added, such as a CRM or a scheduling tool, this page is updated before it goes live.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of what I hold, ask me to correct it, ask me to delete it, or object to me holding it at all. Email me and it gets done inside 30 days, usually the same week.
If you are not happy with how I have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
