Terms
How engagements work, what you own, and the one thing no SEO can promise.

What these cover
These terms cover the use of this website and the general shape of an engagement. The specifics of any piece of work live in the scope document you are sent before anything starts, and where the two disagree, the scope document wins.
Scope and quotes
Every quote is scoped against a named site and a named set of search terms. A quote holds for 30 days. Work outside the agreed scope is quoted separately before it is started, never added to an invoice after the fact.
Payment
Work runs as a monthly retainer, invoiced in advance, with a three month minimum term. Three months is the shortest window in which search results can show whether the work landed, which is why it is the floor rather than a lock in. After that it rolls monthly and either of us can end it with one month's notice.
Invoices are due on receipt and the following month's work starts once the current invoice is settled. Third party costs such as ad spend, tool licences and paid placements are billed at cost and shown separately, never marked up quietly.
What cannot be promised
No one controls Google. I do not guarantee a specific ranking position, a specific volume of traffic, or a specific number of leads, and you should be wary of anyone who does. What is guaranteed is that the work described in the scope gets done, and that the reporting shows you the real numbers whether they are good or bad.
Your responsibilities
Work moves at the speed of access. Where the engagement needs it, you provide access to the site, the hosting, Search Console and analytics, and you sign off content within a reasonable time. Delays on that side move the timeline, not the fee.
Ownership
Once an invoice is paid, everything produced for you is yours: the pages, the code, the audit documents and the data. Nothing is held hostage on exit, and you get a clean handover if we stop working together.
This site's own content, design and brand remain the property of actual SEO.
Liability
Liability for any single engagement is limited to the fees paid for it. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud, because it cannot be.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
